Title insurance is all about risk mitigation. We as the Closing Agent work with our underwriter to gather the information needed to clear title. Title insurance, however, does not protect against sending a wire to the wrong place. There is no insurance protection for wire fraud -- until now. Wires that pass Qualia's risk assessment platform are insured up to $2 million by Lloyd's of London, one of the largest insurance agencies in the world. If your Closing Agent is not utilizing Qualia Shield, they do not have this insurance.

Verifying the identity of the parties involved helps us to cut down on one type of fraud related to identity and property theft.

Wire Risk Assessments
When JK Closing Attorneys serves as Closing Agent on a transaction, we are responsible for making sure the funds from the transaction are sent to the right places. The Seller, the Seller's lender, Associations, the County, Realtors, etc. Many of these transfers are sent via wire. Due to various factors including fraud and human error, sometimes wires are sent to the wrong places. In order to mitigate wire risk, Qualia Shield provides risk assessments. We will not send a wire deemed "risky." This ensures that the Seller clears title, receives their money, and the Buyer's money is sent to the right places, ensuring they do not have a title problem later.
